A Summary of Our Beliefs.

We believe;

1. The Bible to be the inspired word of God. II Timothy 3: 16-17

2. There is only one God who created all things. He alone has immortality and is the source of all life. I Timothy 1:17, Ephesians 4:6, Isaiah 45:5

3. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin, by the power of God; His Holy Spirit. Galatians 4:3-5, John 3:16, Hebrews 2:9-18

4. Man is a dying creature, the result of the sin of the first man, Adam.       Romans 5:14, Psalm 146:4, Ecclesiastes 9:1-6

5. All offspring of Adam - the entire human race - experience the same powerful desires to follow their own ways, as did Adam into disobedience, thus becoming sinners. The punishment for sin is death, the end of all existence.    Romans 5:12,  I Corinthians 15:21-22

6. God, in his love, provided Jesus to save man from perishing. Jesus, begotten of a virgin descended from Adam, had the exact same willful rebellious and mortal nature as all other humans yet did not sin.  Through his intense love and trust for His Father he willingly submitted to death on the cross. In this act of obedience Jesus overcame and destroyed the power of sin. But in this battle death did not have its usual victory; God raised Jesus from the dead, gave him immortality  and granted him all authority in heaven and earth. He now sits at God's right hand as a faithful mediator and savior for all who would come to God through him. Matthew 1:18-21, I Timothy 2:4-5

7. Our only hope after death is through the resurrection of the dead and receiving everlasting life in God's Kingdom on earth. John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:12-50

8. Jesus will return to earth suddenly and unexpectedly, raising many of the dead, judge them with the living and granting to his faithful followers everlasting life in the Kingdom of God. Matthew 25: 31-46, Revelation 22:12, Daniel 12:2

9. The Kingdom of God will be established on earth with Jesus as King. His capital will be Jerusalem, his power worldwide and his government bringing righteousness and peace without end. Psalm 72, Acts 3:19-21

10. The Gospel is inseparable from the promises God made to Abraham and David in old Testament times. These promises find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Genesis 13:14-17, II Peter 1:2-4, Galatians 3:6-9

11. The way to enter the Kingdom of God is by faith in what God promised and the one through whom God will fulfill his promises, Jesus Christ. This involves believing God's word and obedience to its requirements that men and women confess their sins, repent, be baptized into the saving name of Jesus Christ and follow his teaching faithfully. Hebrews 11:6, Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5
